Skew and Satirist are not newcomers. Nor are they a well-guarded techno secret. But for their debut release they wanted the music to come first. Both artists have a background in sonic and technological innovation and have started this project for their left-of-centre techno manoeuvres. That made Killekill the perfect match.
Their first EP, Through the Compound Eye, is inspired by the twisted and kaleidoscopic perception of a fly. It visits IDM-dipped dark techno, a track built around a malfunctioning feedback matrix and a wide-angle, subtly melodic adventure. Eaten Alive, the most challenging track from the EP was accompanied by an appropriately abstract video
collaboration with visual artist Itaru Yasuda.
