We are happy to introduce Blake Baxter alias „The Prince of Techno“ to our label. Blake’s productions on UR, Tresor and many other labels were milestones in techno history. His unique sound combining the classical harmonic detroit techno with stomping acid house and his extraordinary voice made his music outstanding. We are proud to have him contribute to the upcoming triple vinyl compilation on Killekill (cat#025). To sweeten your waiting time he produced this dj mix for you featuring loads of oldschool acid bombs – a blast from the past.
FRANKLIN DE COSTA has been around for a long time. Moving on from wonky techno in his early productions to house and minimal funk in the 2000somethings, he has recently turned back and forged ahead into more experimental techno fields. His collaborations with DJ SPIDER for Killekill were one result of this development. His redefined sound as a dj another one. Last but not least he has also joined the Killekill booking roster recently.
Enjoy this DJ set of his, which Franklin recorded at the Munich club MMA on the 10th of April 2015, taking you on a trip through the various musical dimensions of his musical world.
Manchester legend KID SIMMONS has been away for a while, but he is back on track now with a release deep from his archives on Killekill House Trax plus this smashing dj mix freshly recorded for you. Enjoy and rave!
Better known as ANSTAM, Lars Stoewe runs his ANNO STAMM-alias for the freakier part of the sound spectrum, he’s into. Combining raw techno and sophisticated funk for his productions under this name his mindset isn’t too far away from ours as you will find out, when you check out this mix.
After putting out records on Meakusma, All City and Macro we are happy to have him in our family. Welcome!

Holy Island, an island off of the coast of North Wales is where Dez Williams begun spinning wax at an early age and now maintains his humble analogue / digital studio. Isolated from the marketing, fashion and pretentious attitudes that plague the music industry, Dez is free to express himself through his machines. Safe from this environment he is unconstrained and has no urge to conform with any ideal or aesthetic and thus his electronic music is pure self expression. A window into his soul. His sound is perhaps a product of his daily grind with boredom, escapism, events in his life and a long term passion for technology, horror and science fiction. Inspired by many of the classic Chicago / Detroit / electro / techno producers, like the finest, his sound is unique, uncompromising and unpredictable. His vision of techno is deep and futuristic with a heavy dose of funk. Dez’s passion for sound and the darker side of the human spirit compels him to create tracks on an almost daily basis and he sits on an incredibly vast archive of cassettes, mini-discs and CD’s of his work. Yet his reclusive nature dictates that his release schedule remains sparse. His tracks can range from driving techno, to melancholy and dark synthesizer orchestrations, ghostly deep listening, straight up electro cuts and beyond. Sometimes simple, sometimes complex, within his sounds are vast amounts of detail for the listener to decipher. Emotions transmitted through mathematics and code. Williams‘ tracks have found their way into the sets of DJ’s like Dave Clarke, Adam X, John Peel, Ellen Allien, Mike Dred and Rob Hall. He has constantly retained an underground / cult fanbase. His debut LP ‚Elektronik Religion‘ for the SCSI label was hailed as „One of the very few truly great electro albums of the new century“. Dez remains true to the underground and simply creates for the love and need to do so. The mark of a true artist. He continues to DJ and play live sets across the world and has had releases on a variety of labels including Acruacreee, Ai, Cheap, SCSI, Blase, Voodoo, Minimal Soul & Earwiggle…
The new podcast in our series comes from the great DJ BORIS, recorded live at the Killekill 015 record release/10 years of Pacotek party on november 22nd, 2013.
DJ Boris is kind of a charismatic, multifunctional weapon in the Berlin club life. His musical roots reach back to the mid 80s, when he lived in New York for four years where he absorbed the unique spirit of the seminal club Paradise Garage weekend after weekend. From the Club’s mentor Larry Levan Boris learned to believe in his musical intuition as well as a broad musical spectrum, which nowadays ranges from Disco, Hi-NRG, Post-Punk and (Kraut-) Rock to House and Techno, all of which Boris loves to throw into one set. „Music was most important for Levan. He was uncompromising and he knew how to convey it. That’s what I’m trying to achieve, too, when I’m djing.“
Many years later, Boris became a resident at Panorama Bar’s first incarnation in Berlin, where he was able to build a loyal following by playing long sets lasting until noon. „The crowd is always a lot more receptive for music at the end than at the beginning. That’s when I rather have the opportunity to present unusual stuff and that’s when I’m able to let my feelings run freely.“
After the old OstGut/Panorama Bar closed, Boris played in almost every club in Berlin, but when the follow up club Berghain opened its doors in 2004, he quickly focused on playing out here again. From 2005 till 2010 he had another musical platform, as he was taking care of the label Careless Records as an A&R. As a DJ, he is not exactly keen on refining a certain genre, but rather to push music with a certain twist.
