Killekill House Trax

We are proud to have dug out these two bomb tracks from the 90’s by Manchester legend KID SIMMONS. For some weird reasons these tracks were never released, but here we go now: 2 funky house bombs that will make you bounce and jump like there was no tomorrow.
Expect more to come from the archives of this man!

A: PHEEL

B: FAT LACES

Format 12″

Release date 20/04/2015

Our friend AFFIE YUSUF delivers the next release for our house imprint.

Better known as a master of acid house and techno, he shows off with his other side here. With its 4 groovy tunes this record offers anything you can expect from a good house record, may it the subtle groove of Rinse & Dry, which reminds of the early works of Herbert, the ironical drugged out Guantanamo Rave, the uptempo Ferox-like Get Involved or the funky House FM.

TRACKLIST

A1 – RINSE & DRY
A2 – GUANTANAMO RAVE
B1 – GET INVOLVED
B2 – HOUSE FM

HITSAFE are a duo of established producers operating under an enigmatic moniker. Nothing new, you might say, and that is true. The music is so outstanding and unusual though, that in this case this approach really does make sense. SERIOUS JAW-WORK is funk in its purest form. And we mean real funk! Wonder how many djs will have the guts and abilites to play this one out…To round this release up, we asked LOPAZZ AND CASIO CASINO for a remix and these guys came up with two! Both are so good, we couldn’t make a choice. So here we go with both of them on this release.
The JACK REMIX on A2 is a functional tech housy Überhit, suitable for all peaktime house floors, the JANE REMIX on the B-side is a moodymanesque version with a strong ludicruous tendency, that has all necessary qualities to become a timeless epic.

MASSIVE!

Here comes the first release lf the outstanding super disco stars HARD TON on our label! With A-side track RISE UP we have the first track with chart potential on our label we’d say. We love it anyway! : )
B1 track WORK THAT BODY shows off the heavier jacking side of HARD TON and B2 MONOTONE rounds up the EP with its uplifting house chords. Not our average cup of tea, but we fckng love it.
Instead of boring you to death with just another info text, we copy these words from I-D Magazine about HARD TON:
HARD TON are the italian duo with the larger than life disco sound and a surprising love of met- al. Fused together in 2008 from the musical loins of DJ Wawashi and heavy metal singer Max. Sylvester-styled falsettos conjure up memories of smoky dancefloors during the heady days of HI-NRG, which combined with a contemporary sound of accelerated beats and screaming acid basslines, shows a nod to the past can result in a slap across the face for the present. Using ana- logue and vintage gear, from the 303, 606, 707, Oberheim DMX, Korg Monopoly, MS20, Prophet V5, the music is as organic as synthetic music can be, their equipment living and dying by its own unpredictable rules. The two brothers of GEBRÜDER TEICHMANN have been regular guests at the early KILLEKILL events. That’s because they have a very similar approach to electronic music as we do. First of all they are deeply in love with the music itself and not the fame, the money or whatever one might expect to get when making music, and second they have a wide musical horizon and interesting perspectives on it, because they are active on several levels, as djs, musicians, promoters etc. First of all though they got class and taste, and so we are happy to present their cooperation with one of our personla heroes and one of the very big names in early house music: JOHNNY DANGEROUS aka FOREMOST POETS. With many Chicago greats, Johnny is One of the inventors of The Deep House Sound through his own blend of future funk & spoken word. In 1990, he released his first underground hit single “Reasons To Be Dismal?” on Nu Groove/SBK Records. A few years later, Johnny dropped the atomic bomb “Problem 13 (I Beat That *itch With A Bat)” in 1993 and orbited into the Dance Music Hall of Fame. Since then, the name carries great respect in the underground throughout the entire world. When Johnny’s striking voice appeared on his release “Moonraker”, he set a new standard for DJs around the world. Together with Johnny the TEICHMANNs have produced “TIME’S ALMOST UP!”, an acid house anthem that transports well the energy of Johnnys early works: funky, trippy and positive, a dance- floor with a consciousness that’s rare nowadays. LOSOUL, one of Germany’s finest house producers, delivers a reduced and even more tripped out version of the original.

KILLEKILL HOUSE TRAX 002 - AFFIE YUSUF - I'M FREE

KHT 002 comes from AFFIE YUSUF, a longtime legendary producer from London, who has released tons of tracks solo and in groups on labels such as Ferox, Force inc and many more.

Meeting AFFIE YUSUF for the first time via internet was like meeting an old friend. A sympathy for the devil was our common sense and after hearing some of his unreleased music it was obvious we needed to get closer.
For his first release on KILLEKILL he has sent us so many good tracks it was not easy for us to compile the first release.
But here we go now with the I’m Free EP, a 12” full of house as we like it.Raw as shit and full of fun, funk and energy!
